Choose the audience and the moment

Combine people type, page path, and time on the page so a message reaches the right person.

People type

  • Everyone — no restriction on who the person is.
  • Visitors — people who have not identified themselves yet.
  • Leads — people who have shared contact details.
  • Users — customers and identified users of your product.

Page path and time on the page

Page path narrows the message to where the intent is. Use an exact path such as /pricing, or add a star for a whole section, as in /docs*. Leaving the field empty matches every page.

Time on current page is a delay in seconds, up to one hour. The countdown starts when the person arrives on a matching page and starts again if they navigate somewhere else, so the delay always measures attention on the page in front of them.

When to send

When set live starts delivery as soon as you publish. Schedule for later holds the message until the start date and time you choose, which is how a maintenance notice written on Tuesday can appear on Friday morning without anyone remembering to publish it.

Note: All three rules apply together. A person sees the message only when the people type, the page path, and the delay match at the same time — and only after the scheduled moment has passed.
